about
I am a photographer based in Long Beach, CA and I specialize in portrait and documentary photography.
My first passion was writing and literature and I think that is what informs a lot of my photos. My literature background gives me the sense of narrative in my photos. I want my photos to tell a story, to intrigue and to provoke.

It's really as simple as that. I'm not anti-car, but I do believe that we need real transportation options. We don't live on a planet with infinite resources, so I feel that we should reduce and reuse when we can.
For me, I'm taking a road less traveled by being carfree in Los Angeles. And my hope with all this, is that when people see me spinning up a hill with my loaded bike that they are filled with the joy of seeing someone doing good and perhaps be inspired to do good themselves.
Yes. It's unorthodox.
Yes. It's a little crazy thing to do in Los Angeles. However, nothing great is ever accomplished by doing things that are thought to be normal.
I will arrive on time. I will arrive dresed in an appropriate manner.
No, I will not be wearing spandex.
